David Cree

I have been taking pictures since 1945 in junior high school. I lived in the Washington, DC area and I used all kinds of cameras starting with a Brownie reflex and moving up to a 4×5 Speed Graphic.  After high school I entered the Navy and spent some time in Europe shooting black and white with a Rollei twin lens reflex. Later, after moving to Houston, TX in 1962, I continued with black and white film using Leica M3 and M4′s and a Contax 35mm. In recent years I have tended to shoot color more than B&W because I no longer have a darkroom. I moved to Austin, TX in 1993 and am currently using an C2500L digital, an Olympus C3030 digital, and a Canon EOS-620 35mm. The digital camera has opened a whole different world to me and I have only begun to scratch the surface of that medium.
